The current holder is Sanju Samson(RR) But believe it or not by the end of this season may be one among following will hold ORANGE CAP:

1) Virat Kohli (RCB): He is slowly upping his game and every game he is getting better than the previous game and when he reaches his peak form you know that nobody can touch him. Maybe he can register a couple of 100’s and even surpass Raina again in terms of runs scored and Gayle in terms of centuries scored.

2) KL Rahul (KXIP): He is in great form and doesn't even require time to settle because he already is settled when he reaches the crease. With those explosive batting and run-scoring ability, he looks to break some records. Maybe he can register his maiden ipl 100 this season.

3) Sanju Samson (RR): Definitely he’s the best batsman currently in RR squad he scores heavily this season that too with explosive batting style. He is surely a worthy contender for the orange cap this season. Maybe he can score a hundred as well this season

4) AB de Villiers (RCB): Again this man never fails to impress when he is in great touch. When he has set his eyes on the ball or he bats till 16th over then there is carnage be it chase or setting a

target, it never matters. Get him early or he’ll trash you out. He has got a variety of strokes. Maybe he can score a century as well

5) Shikhar Dhawan (SRH): He’s been is great form from past year and is continuing his domination against bowlers in absence of his explosive partner Warner.

6) Mayank Agarwal (KXIP): He has shown it in domestic circuit how quality batsman he is. Although he has not scored till now but as time goes he’ll show that it’s his league. He is my bet on being in top 10 in the list by the end of this season
