The day Virender Sehwag Become Sultan Of Multan : March 28
Nawab of Najafgarh Vireender Sehwag today became the Sultan of Multan 14 years ago. On March 28, 2004, in a Test match against Pakistan, Veeru did a trick that nobody could do in Indian cricket. Sehwag became the first Indian to score a triple century.
In the Test match too, Sehwag's steamy innings was seen and he just scored 309 runs in 375 balls. In this century of Sehwag, six sixes and 39 fours were included and the strike rate was more than 82. He batted 531 minutes on the crease.
This was the first Test of the 3 match series in Multan. Team India declared their innings in the first innings by losing 5 wickets in the first innings and 675 runs against Pakistan. In reply, Pakistan's first innings 407 and follow-on after the second innings was reduced to 216 runs.India won by an innings and 52 runs on this match
