Wellington Firebirds sign Samit Patel for Twenty20 season
The Wellington Firebirds have declared the marking of previous England worldwide Samit Patel for the up and coming Twenty20 season.
The 32-year-old, who was in amazing structure for Nottinghamshire prior this season, and named the Professional Cricketers' Association's player of the year in the wake of driving the Notts to achievement in all configurations.
Wellington head-mentor Bruce Edgar satisfied to Patel's quality. He stated, "Our point is basic: we're hoping to play engaging, positive cricket. As we saw a year ago, that formula prompts achievement when it's first rate."
"For the forthcoming effort, we distinguished a need to supplement our squad with a quality all-rounder. With a vocation highlighting more than 200 T20 matches, including 18 internationals, and noteworthy hit rates with both bat and ball, we're eager to have Samit joining the group to fill that part."
Patel will join the Wellington Firebirds once the Bangladesh Premier League gets over where he will play for Rajshahi Kings.
Wellington to play their first match against Northern Districts on December 15 at Seddon Park.
