New Delhi. Karnataka's young batsman Mayank Agarwal, who scored 2141 runs in the domestic season, displayed a lot of humor and offered his entry to the Indian team. Although he could not find a chance in the Indian team and thereafter many questions were raised on the selection process of the BCCI. Mayank scored three half-centuries in the five centuries in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the Ranji season. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he displayed a great performance and with three centuries he also hit four half-centuries. This dangerous batting of Mayank was compared to former Indian explosive batsman Virender Sehwag. Seeing his comparisons with Sehwag, Mayank said that he is a great player and I am not worth comparing with him. 

Mayank Agarwal was bought by Kings XI Punjab team this year in the IPL auction. Speaking on the website of Kings XI Punjab, he said that he is very keen to play on behalf of the Punjab team. Sehwag is the mentor of this team and I will learn a lot about him. Mayank said that some time ago he had got an opportunity to meet Sehwag and during that time I also got a lot of batting tips.

Talking about Sehwag, Mayank said that he would often hear about them playing with the mind of the bowlers. They prefer to play shots in their unconscious style and dominate them. Seeing his batting, I have always had a learning experience. Mayank wants him to do well for keeping up his form in the IPL season this season for Kings XI Punjab.
